Message from the Chair
As the first year of the BEEM Network (region 5) comes to a close, I can report on a successful year. We have met with Stewart Maxwell who was Minister for Communities and Sport, who confirmed the Scottish Government's future commitment to tenant participation and involvement with the Regional Networks, this was warmly welcomed by our members. We are currently planning an event for the 12th May to bring all the regional committees together.
New minister Alex Neil has confirmed his attendance reinforcing the government's commitment to the Regional Networks and we wish him well in his new post. This event will also see the launch of our new website, another project all regions are involved in. On the 30th of May BEEM will also hold its annual general meeting at which we hope to introduce a communications strategy and adopt some proposed constitution changes.
