Peter Winnie - Secretary
I started community activities in 1997 by setting up a Tenant and Resident association. In cooperation with other groups a Coatbridge wide federation was then established. We then set up a North Lanarkshire wide Tenants and Residents Association. This has been a long and hard road. However, we have moved on considerably and now have a good working relationship with North Lanarkshire Council. I am also a member of Coatbridge Community Forum and the local area partnership.
John Colquhoun - Treasurer
I have been involved in the tenants movement for 21 years, initially I helped to start a tenants association in Kirkshaws in 1988. I was also one of the founder members of the Coatbridge Tenants and Residents Federation and more recently I have been involved in the setting up of the North Lanarkshire wide Federation. I have developed a good knowledge and involvement in both local and national issues. My main aim over the last 21 years is what can we do to support and empower tenants and residents.
