Lillian Woolfries
For the past 7/8 years I have been, first of all treasurer and then Secretary of Banner Residents Association in Knightswood, Glasgow . I have also for the past three years been a member of the Board of the Great Western Tenant Partnership. These two positions have given me a great deal of insight into the running not only of a local Residents Association but also of the wider aspect of the duties involved in making decisions at a higher level as a member of G.W.T.P. where I am assigned to the Repairs and Investment Sub Committee of the organisation.
As a result of my involvement with the Residents Association my name was put forward to be our representative on the Residents Tenant Organisation Federation which was founded approximately 3 years ago and I have greatly increased my experience by being a member of this organisation.
On a more personal note I do have various other interests besides housing and these are computer classes, keep fit and supporting various local groups in their activities for older people like myself. I have a Norfolk Terrier and therefore have the pleasure of going walks and meeting a wide variety of people.
